Biography

Kush Sharma is an award-winning cybersecurity executive with over two decades of private and public sector experience across six industries with a total market cap of $2.3 trillion.  He has led several initiatives protecting Municipal critical infrastructure and transportation functions including Fleet, Transportation, Solid Waste, Fire, Paramedic, Autonomous/connected Vehicles, and Rolling Stock.

Kush Sharma is the Director, Municipal Modernization & Partnerships for the Municipal Information Systems Association, Ontario.  Prior to this, he was selected and served as the inaugural acting CISO for CP Rail, inaugural CIO for Aptitude 360, inaugural CISO for the City of Toronto and inaugural cyber executive for Saputo.  He was an advisor to over 50 organizations from the Fortune 500 to all three levels of governments with Accenture and Deloitte.  Kush is also the Founder of KnightSpectre, a management consulting firm focused on Cyber Governance, tailored specifically for Municipal Cyber, M&A, Digital Transformation, and Executive Advisory.

Kush is an active member of the cyber community, has led teams through breach response first-hand, sits on the National CISO Committee on Information Protection (NCCIP) for Canada, and was previously named Global Enterprise CIO.  He has a strong reputation as a trusted advisor known for innovation, partnerships, and service delivery.  He also has broader leadership experience leading technology, change management and digital transformation teams.
